A lightweight bridge agent runs on each kiosk and drives the on-site document reader, streaming captures to foxid for cloud verification — so kiosks over the internet stay thin and the verification logic stays centralised.
When an identity document is scanned at a participating kiosk, we collect images of the document and the identity details it contains (such as name, date of birth and document number) for one purpose: verifying the document and the identity of its holder. Captured data is shared with the foxid identity-verification service to perform that check, and is retained only for the period configured by the organisation operating the kiosk. Read the full privacy notice for details on collection, disclosure and retention.
